ATA karnet is an international customs transit document that is synonymous with passports for goods in the world. It is used to simplify temporary imports, and in Serbia it can be issued by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce for the process of temporary export (and re-import of goods in an unchanged state). In practice, it is most commonly used for temporary import/export of goods for fair exhibitions, as well as goods intended for personal or professional use, trade samples, professional and scientific equipment. Carinska tarifa is a systematic list of goods with customs rates. The customs tariff consists of a nomenclature of goods and rates, i.e. the amount of customs prescribed for certain goods in the nomenclature.

Carinski agent is a natural or legal person registered to perform the activities of international shipping, which the Customs Administration has authorized to carry out actions in customs procedure or in connection with the procedure.

Carinski nadzor is a set of general measures and actions of the Customs Administration in order to implement customs and other regulations in relation to goods subject to customs supervision, including measures to ensure the identicality of goods from arrival in the customs area to the completion of customs procedures (monitoring and storage of customs goods, taking samples, prospects, photographs or other data), placing customs markings and certifying the prescribed documents.
